Kimberly J. Welch, 61, of Port Huron Twp. , passed on April 30, 2019 in McLaren Port Huron Hospital after a short illness with her family by her side. She was born on March 25, 1958 in Detroit, daughter of the late James and Mary Knoth.

Kimberly was a very kind, caring and compassionate person who enjoyed life and loved helping others. She will be missed by all. Kimberly had a smile that would light up a room.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather DeRouin of Clinton Twp. ; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory (Tis) DeRouin of Sterling Heights; stepsons: Eric Welch of Indiana and Gene Welch of Wisconsin; loving companion, David Hurd of Port Huron Twp. ; five grandchildren: Arianna, Addison, Nicholas, Hayden and Brianna; sister and brother-in-law, Judi (Robert) Wallace of Port Austin and a sister, Denise Nick of Port Austin and several nieces and nephews.

Kimberly is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Welch on March 12, 1999. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are in care of Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave.
