OBITUARY Kimberly Patrice Spratt July 12, 1971 – November 20, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Kimberly Patrice (Zabilka) Spratt, age 47, passed away on November 20, 2018; on Catalina Island California while celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Kimberly was born on July 12, 1971 in Elgin, Illinois daughter of parents Robert and Theresa (Baran) Zabilka. She graduated from Elgin High School Class of 1989.

In 1991 she moved to Arizona with her parents after her father retired from Illinois Bell. She received her Dental Assisting Certificate from Apollo College in 1991. Kimberly married Kevin John Spratt on November 20, 1993 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mesa, Arizona.

Born of this marriage was one son Kyle Robert Spratt (born June 22, 1997). Kimberly worked in the dental field for over 20 years the majority of which was spent working for Dr. Mysore Suresh as a chairside dental assistant, the last few years she worked part time at Adams Elementary School as a special education aide/clerk. She enjoyed being a part of the Adams Elementary family especially when she had interactions with the students.

Her biggest passion in life was her family, of which she was fiercely loyal and protective, especially with her only child Kyle. She absolutely loved that as Kyle grew up our house was where he and his friends would hang out after school and on weekends; so much so that as she made her shopping lists she would ask “her boys” as she called Kyle’s friends what food they would like stocked in the freezer and pantry for when they were over. In her spare time she enjoyed playing games of any kind especially aggravation and dominoes.

She really thrilled at the times when she was able to defeat her Father in law at Aggravation. She enjoyed scrapbooking (mostly collecting the supplies to do the actual scrapbooking sometime in the future). Kim had an infectious laugh that could light up a room, she always did for others first before thinking of herself.

Time spent with friends was also high on Kim’s list of must do activities. You almost never had to wonder what Kim was thinking as she would tell you what was on her mind. Kim was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Theresa (Baran) Zabilka and infant bother David John Zabilka.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin, son Kyle, half-brothers Robert K. Zabilka Jr., Russell P. Zabilka, and Half-sisters Nancy M. (Zabilka) Daly, and Pamela N. (Zabilka) Schott and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
