She was born November 11, 1947 in Wadsworth, OH; a daughter of Charles Willard Bowen and Dorothy Lynn Foster. Kitty was well known for making placemats advertising for companies.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leon West; and her brothers, Larry Bowen and Dallas Bowen. Kitty is survived by her sister, Robin Roberts (Wesley) and her brother, Charles Bowen; her best friend, Joyce Blazer; her nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home is assisting the family and she will be cremated by Tri-State Cremation Society.
