Klara Margit Moffitt was called to heaven to be with God and deceased family while sleeping peacefully at home on December 11, 2018. She was born in Budapest, Hungary and came to Jacksonville Beach with her parents in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution. She graduated from Fletcher High School in 1958.

Klara received a scholarship to study the fine arts at FSU. For over 40 years, she was a cosmetologist and owned several salons named “Klara’s Place for Hair” throughout the Jacksonville Beaches area. She loved reading, history, drawing, solving word puzzles, and loved her family, friends, and pets: Penelope, Buster, and Oddball.

Klara was predeceased by her parents, Clara and Frank Kenedy, and her daughter, Katherine Milihovszky Gardner. She is survived by her four children and nine grandchildren: Michael and his wife Alexia Kenedy and their daughter and son, Sophia and Frankie; Julianna and her husband Timothy Klaff and their daughters, Samantha and Melissa; Caroline and her husband Ron Hildum and their daughters, Taylor, Ryian, and Brooke; Katherine’s son Jacob Gardner; Melinda Moffitt and her daughter Klara Teli Cyr-Moffitt. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home with Visitation from 10-11 am and the Memorial Service at 11 am.

She will be buried next to her daughter Katherine at H. Warren Smith Cemetery.
