Korey knew chronic physical, mental, and emotional challenges during his 44-year journey, but most of all he knew the constant love, care, and attention bestowed by his dear Mom. She loved him and he loved her. Korey was blessed along the way by his coworkers, friends, and Gizmo & Sugar at Tri-County Vocational Center.
Korey also was blessed along the way by his family, friends, numerous health care providers, teachers, church family, and community members. Korey loved his cats and his dogs. Animals of all kinds also seemed to love him.
Korey enjoyed Notre Dame athletics, Avengers, Star Wars, WCW/WWE, and all brands of music. He also did a spot-on Forrest Gump impersonation, “That’s my boat”. We stand on the promise of scripture that in Jesus, to be away from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Korey’s gentle smile and tender spirit will be greatly missed. We are comforted that Korey is not only with Jesus right now, but that he has also been reunited with his Dad, Grandparents, and other loved ones who have gone on before – including Noah, with whom Korey hopes to work in Heaven caring for all the animals. Korey, in Jesus, we’ll see you soon.
Korey lived a private life. In staying true to him, the memorial service will be a private, family event. Korey’s remains will be interred at Highland Cemetery, Oilton, OK.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Korey’s honor and memory can be made to Tri-County Vocational Center, 1079 N Peninsula Drive East, Cleveland, OK 74020. Thank You, both for loving Korey and for your continued prayers on behalf of the family.
