Obituary for Mr. L D Mitchell LD Mitchell, 91, died peacefully at his home in Neptune NJ. Born in Como, Texas, he was the son of the late Earnest and Melinda Mitchell. He retired as a Command Sergeant Major after 30 years in the US Army and from the US Postal Service after 27 years as a letter carrier.

Left to cherish his precious memory are his wife, Iola J Mitchell, two sons, Larry Lawson and Ronald Mitchell (Malissa) both of California; two daughters Sandra Davis of Neptune and Brigite Mitchell Morton (Willis) of Robbinsville; six grandchildren, Lorenzo Lawson, Sean Lawson, Sajata Mickens, Aja Monchery, Brittany Mitchell and Zachary Mitchell; several great-grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.
