La Vern’s Obituary La Vern F. Kaiser, 62 of St. Joseph Ridge, WI passed away suddenly February 27th, 2019 due to a cardiac event. La Vern “Vern” was born on November 25th, 1956 in La Crosse, WI to Butch and Millie (Gerke) Kaiser. La Vern married Debra Emilson on May 14th, 1977, they later divorced but remained good friends.

Vern was well known for his caring nature and willingness to help anyone. In his spare time, he loved to spend time with family and friends playing cards, bowling, fishing, anything car related, watching westerns and NASCAR, cheering on the Packers, and spending time at his houseboat. Every Sunday he enjoyed breakfast at A&W, visits to Menards and cruising the local car lots for a good deal.

For over 50 years he looked forward to the annual family fishing trip at Birch Point in Bloomer, WI. La Vern started working at Vicks Bar & Motel, Tom’s Tent Rentals, then at St. Joseph Equipment-Industrial Division, where he began his career, working his way up from diesel/service mechanic to becoming the Service Manager and Shop Foreman. La Vern is survived by his children; Jerry Kaiser and Nicole (David) Sprawls; his cherished grandchildren, Austin, Alexis and Amelia; adored great-grandchild, Marie; sisters, Karen Kaiser and Diane (Tom) Gertz; brother, Bruce (Jackie) Kaiser; nephews, Jared and Brad Gertz and Jeff (Heidi) Kaiser; aunt, Dolores (Lolly) Knobloch, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Arnold “Butch” and Mildred “Millie” (Gerke) Kaiser; brother, Joseph Kaiser; grandson, Skylar; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 4th at St. Joseph Ridge Catholic Church with Rev. Timothy Welles officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 4-7 P.M. where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
