Mr. Lael Glenn Leonard, 20, of Conway, Ar departed this life on Monday, September 17, 2018. He was born on March 2, 1998 in Conway, Arkansas to Aisha and Lael A. Leonard. He was the oldest of four children from this union.

He was greeted by his Heavenly Father and Great-grandparents Charlotte and Wade Winston, Pagerine and Bobby Turner along with a host of family and friends. Lael was an usher and the self- proclaimed best drummer in the church.

Being musically inclined he not only played the drums but a plethora of instruments including the guitar and keyboard. He originated a band with his siblings called “Sassy” and performed their first song “Lord, you are good”. Lael was a former student of Conway High School and employee of Pizza Inn.

Lael was a fun, caring, loving person who loved the company of others. He had a unique sense of humor, he liked to joke, laugh and have fun while being a loyal friend. He was forgiving, understanding and was the type of person to give you his last, like the shirt of his back.

Holidays, family gatherings, spending time with his siblings, friends and girlfriend were all things he enjoyed. He was excited about expecting his child. Lael was an avid gamer and even had a YouTube channel with subscribers, edits and streaming of him gaming.

In his youth, he was a Naruto, wrestling, Harry Potter, Spiderman and Pokémon fanatic. He enjoyed working on electronics and Xbox systems with his dad. He was showered with love as a child and was continued throughout life by countless family and friends.

Some of his favorites included his Grandma Eva’s (Maw-maw) greens and dressing. Grandpa Glen’s (Paw-paw) World Famous brisket. He gave his grandparents this nickname.

He also liked honey buns, waffles, taco salad and pizza. He continues to love, live and inspire through his mother Aisha Winston (Yacine Daouda) of Conway; father Lael Leonard of Little Rock; Grandparents Glen and Eva Winston of Conway; Ann Calloway of Texas; Siblings: Trinity Leonard, Kristen Leonard and Winston Leonard, all of Conway; three aunts Chantale (Antoine) Manning of Atlanta, GA; Ashley (Lamar) Bibby of Conway and Rekina (Darrell) Evans of Little Rock: two uncles Tavio Garrison of Little Rock and Shawn Leonard of Long Beach, CA; Girlfriend Courtney Clements of Benton and a host of Great- uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway, Ar.

Visitation 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, September 28, 2018 at Anointed and Appointed Church, 310 Salem Road, Conway, Ar. Interment Sinai Cemetery in Conway, AR. Services entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway, Ar.
