Obituary for Lala Lorraine Speidel Lala Lorraine Speidel, age 86, passed away on September 13, 2018 at her home in St. Paul, Oregon. She was born February 19, 1932 in St. Paul to Walter and Mildred Bernard. She graduated from St. Paul High School in 1950.

She met Arthur Speidel from Newberg, Oregon and they were married on June 14, 1952. They made their home in St. Paul, where they raised their 3 daughters. Lala was involved in various crop harvests within the community for most of her working years.

She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grand children; they were her greatest pride and joy. She loved sharing her knowledge of the community’s history and its people, the outdoors, camping with her family,and spending time with her friends. Lala is well known in the community for her yard parties.

Lala left a wonderful legacy in her family, and is survived by her children Jackie and Dennis Halter; Joan and Dennis Oakes; and Jill and Dan Coleman; sister Mildred Coello of Woodburn; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and those that have come to know and love her over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art, in 2004; her son-in-law Ron Danley in 2008, her parents; her brothers and sister. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00am at Attrell’s Funeral Chapels in Newberg, Oregon.

Reception to follow at the St. Paul Fire Hall. Lala will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the St. Paul Fire Department in her honor.
