Obituary for LaNel Bock Alean “LaNel” Bock passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Pocatello. LaNel was born on April 21, 1954 to Bill and Alean Packer. She had four daughters; Bonnie Lee, Billie (Rob) Olson, Nickie Packer, and Jamie Reed; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Anthony, Chase & Isabella Olsen, Paige (Jarad) Washington, Skylar, Dylan Reed, and great grandson, Eli Washington.

Mom said all she wanted us to say was that she lived hard, laughed long, loved more. In her youth she was a force to be reckoned with on roller skates. She could “shoot the duck,” like no other.

She had a beautiful alto voice. LaNel and her sisters often sang together at home around the piano at weddings and funerals. How Great Thou Art was often requested.

She excelled at crocheting and plastic canvas. LaNel loved playing cards and watching movies, also decorating for every holiday to the nines. She was a wizard in the kitchen, most famous for her fried chicken and homemade bread and scones.

She lovingly taught all the grand kids to make bread by hand. Spending time with her grandkids and great grandson, were her most treasured times. Knowing her grandchildren would soon grow up and not have time for grandma, she was always happy to have sleepovers and movie marathons often.

LaNel was preceded in death by; her infant daughter, Bonnie Lee; father, Bill Packer; nephews, Ethan Van Brunt, Ethan & Hayden Romriell; grandparents, Lee & Ina Packer & Doyle & Velean Bowden. A celebration of life for LaNel will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Rd. Condolences may be sent to the family online at wilksfuneralhome.com.
