OBITUARY Lanny Steiner July 20, 1954 – August 19, 2018 Lanny Lewis Steiner was born on July 20, 1954 in La Mesa, California. He was raised by his loving mother Dora Bonilla Steiner in Lemon Grove, California. Lanny attended Helix High School where he participated in football, wrestling, and track.
He was an outstanding athlete. At the age of 19 he married Carol Diaz Steiner on August 25, 1973. Lanny accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in July of 1975.
Together they have two children Veronica E. Steiner Blea and Lanny L. Steiner Jr, whom they raised in North Park, California. Lanny was a knife maker and dedicated employee of Buck Knives. He worked there for over 30 years.
The couple settled back in Lemon Grove in 1993. Lanny continued his education and entered the medical field as a certified nurse assistant and pursued his RN degree. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, reading and studying the Bible.
Lanny entered eternal life on August 19, 2018 at the age 64. Lanny is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carol Diaz Steiner resident of Lemon Grove, California. Brother Danny J. Steiner and sister Yolanda J. Pearce.
Father in law Alfonso Diaz of Northridge, California. Daughter Veronica E. Blea, son in law Eddie A. Blea III, son Lanny L. Steiner Jr., daughter in law Veronica G. Steiner. Six Grandchildren: Sabrina E. Blea, wife of Jacob A. Blea, Victoria R. Blea, Giavana E. Steiner, Adina A. Blea, Anissa C. Blea, Isaiah L. Steiner.
Two Great Grandchildren: Maximus A. Blea and Mona R. Blea. Lanny was a loving, caring husband, a selfless, kind father. A wonderful Papa.
Above all he loved the Lord with all his heart, mind and soul. We love you! !
