Obituary for Larry Heckstall Larry Heckstall was born October 24, 1957 in Boston, MA and departed this life on Wednesday April 5, 2018. He was the son of Ronald and Ella Heckstall who departed this life before him. He was also proceeded in death by his brother-in-law Godfrey Thompson, four aunts Mrs. Pauline Cloud, Mrs. Lillian Sterrett, MS.

Thayer Heckstall and Mrs. Sophie Parham. Uncles: Mr. Richard Sterrett, Mr. Selik Heckstall and Hubert Parham. Larry attended the Robert Guild Shaw Elementary School and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1979.

Larry’s first job was with Au Bon Pain. He was also a faithful employee of Burger King for many years. Larry spent many summers attending Groton wood Camp.

Larry also attended the following Programs Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, Bay Coves, Vinfen and his present workshop Price Right, where he has been for the past 4 years and enjoyed attending and received good care. Larry also competed in the Special Olympics for several years where he won numerous medals and ribbons. He had a full life traveling and doing the things he enjoyed, through the organization Drew Billies, that allowed him to go to the Bahamas on a Disney Cruise and take several trips to the Dude Ranch in New York.

He loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church and praising God at Holy Temple. Larry was a social butterfly who loved to flirt with the pretty ladies. Throughout the years Larry loved attending dances and hitting the dance floor.

When at home He spent his spare time watching his favorite t.v. shows such as WWF Wrestling, Happy Days (“Hey”), The Honey Mooners (“Wanna go to the Moon”), Mork & Mindy (“NaNu-NaNu”) all while eating his mayonnaise and bread sandwiches with his favorite candy bar Milky Way and his favorite drink Coke. After becoming wheel chair bound Larry resided at the Till Dana Ave Group Home where he received excellent care. Special thanks to Colleen, Delisa, Valerie and staff.

He leaves to cherish his memory sisters Mrs. Edna Thompson and Ms. Gloria Heckstall. Brothers, Clint Beasley, Ronald Heckstall and Michael Beasley all of Massachusetts. Uncle Scottie Heckstall of Ny.

Cousin Donald Sterrett (Kim) of Massachusetts. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral service at 11:00 O’clock at Holy Temple Church 14 Lambert Ave.
