Obituary for Mr. Larry Carl Anderson Larry Carl Anderson age 75 of Elko, MN passed away due to cancer in Northfield, MN. Larry was born in Thief River Falls, MN on July 24, 1942 to Carl and Ethel (Johnson) Anderson. On April 26, 1968 he married Patricia Behnke, and they became partners for life.

After graduating with a degree in accounting and obtaining his CPA credentials, he served in the US Army Reserves. Following his service, he spent six months traveling Europe with a friend. He worked as a Public Accountant, and later found the position that would consume his working career at Apogee Enterprises.

Larry’s work with Apogee culminated in his being the President of Harmon Glass for 16 years. The last 23 years found him successfully retired as a husband, father, grandfather, carpenter, mentor to many and an avid golfer. As a corporate leader and as a human being, he filled every room with his joy for living, his zest for all things, his humor, and his compassion for all lives.

Above all, Larry cherished and worked very hard to maintain his close relationships with friends and family. Larry was proceeded in death by his parents Carl and Ethel and his infant brother Ardell. He is survived by his wife Patricia; his children Jordan, Jeff and Jill (Dan) Klaas; his brother Dennis (Liz); his sisters Elaine and Jannette; and his grandchildren Brett, Berkley, Jimmy, MacKenzie, Tyler and Sydney.

Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 at Christiania Lutheran Church, 26691 Pillsbury Ave, Lakeville, MN. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, July 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Eden Prairie Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, MN. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
