LARRY D. WHITE, 70, of Springfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday evening, February 3, 2019. He was born in Springfield on June 22, 1948, the son of the late LD Foster and Phyllis (Evans) White. He retired from EIS, a sub-contractor to Honda of America and previously worked at Stanley Electric, Witenko, Springfield Street Rods, Community Hospital, M&M Bank, and Springfield Bank.

Larry loved cars and enjoyed building muscle cars, collecting model trains,… and was a history buff, impressing friends and family with his knowledge of world and Springfield history. He is survived by two children, Tracy (Mike) Perks of Springfield and Justin (Anna) White of Bowling Green, Ohio; six grandchildren, Austin and Ashley Perks and Baylie, Ella, Peyton and Emerson White; brother, Ron (Billie) White of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Sandy J. (Boggess) White in 2018 and a sister, Jenelle Anderson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Larry’s funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Ken Woode officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
