Larry Dale Kent, Sr. Thomson, GA – Mr. Larry Dale Kent, Sr., 72, of Cedar Street entered into rest July 20, 2018. Mr. Kent grew up in Glascock County, GA and was the son of the late Kermit Kent and the late Johnnie Wilkerson. He lived in Thomson most of his life and was a retired carpenter.

Mr. Kent was a faithful and devoted member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and in many other capacities. He enjoyed woodworking and loved his grandchildren. Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Polly Kent; sons, Dale Kent (Ginny), Clay Kent; grandchildren, Georgia Kate Kent, Daxton Kent, Emee Kent and Jonathan Kent; brother, Keith Kent; and sisters, Glenda Smith, Claxton Williams, Delsie Story, and Threesa Hood.

A memorial service will be held at 2 o’clock, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev Butch Baston officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd.
