Born and raised in Cookeville, he is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Juanita Jackson Dixon, and sister, Dorothy Dixon Green of Cookeville. He is survived by his son, Josh Dixon (Valentina) and daughter Chalen Dixon; grandchildren: Thomas, Logan, Sydney; step grandchildren: Tavus and Tamea; sister: Sue Dixon Paul.

Larry was a member of Washington Ave Baptist Church, Cookeville, Tennessee, where a Celebration of Life service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 3 p.m. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, PLEASE MAIL DONATIONS IN MEMORY OF LARRY DIXON TO THE STANDING STONE CARE AND REHABILITATION CENTER, 410 W Crawford Ave, Monterey, TN 38574.
