Larry Gene Johnson age 64 of Clanton, passed away on May 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County, Alabama on January 3, 1955 to the late Maddison Johnson and Geannette Gentry Johnson. He was a foreman with Asplundh.

He is survived by his sons, James (Christy) Johnson of Clanton and William Eugene (Carrie) Johnson of Mt. Olive, AL; Grandchildren, Kristin (Tristan) Johnson Hood of Clanton, Austin (Jamie) Johnson of Maplesville, Angelica Johnson of Mt. Olive, AL, Maddison Johnson of Mt.

Olive, AL, and Geeanna Johnson of Mt. Olive; and Siblings, Dorenda Minor of Clanton, Jimmie C. Johnson of Clanton, Charles Wayne Johnson of Clanton, Linda Faye Childress of Clanton, and Myrtice Johnson of Clanton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maddison and Geannette Johnson and son, Larry Eugene Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 am from the Glad Tidings Church of God in Clanton with Rev. Mike Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 10-11 am. Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton. www.
