Obituary for Larry J. Kerns Larry J. Kerns, 71, of Liberal, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 1, 2018. He was born on September 4, 1946 to Ivan and Bertha (Stockebrand) Kerns at Wichita, KS. Larry was a graduate of Liberal High School and also attended Seward County Community Colleges.

He served as an Air Traffic Controller in the US Air Force during Vietnam. Larry worked many different jobs in his lifetime but he loved working at the Liberal VA Office assisting other veterans. Larry also enjoyed computers, computer gaming, and continuous learning of the history of Christianity.

He was a member of VFW and the America Legion. Larry is survived by his Daughter- Eva Kerns of Liberal, KS; Four Grandchildren – Alyx Garza, Anthony McCain Jr., Chance Kerns and Quentyn Kerns. Stepson – Michael Fowler of Liberal, KS.
