Larry J.’s Obituary Larry J. Naiser, 82 years of age passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at his home with his loving wife, children and grandchildren by his side. He was the devoted husband of 58 years to Carolyn Naiser. Loving father of Nick Naiser(Patti), Joe Naiser, Beth Hummeldorf (Jim), and Michael Naiser (Amy).
Loving Poppers of Ben, Megan and David Naiser, Gabrielle, James, Lukas and Ian Hummeldorf. Survived by his brother John Naiser and their sister in law Jane Naiser. Always a loving uncle to many.
He was born and raised in Louisville on March 23rd, 1936 and was preceded in death by parents Nick and Nazha Naiser, brothers George and David Naiser, sisters Liz Royhab and Minnie Karem. Larry met the love of his life in early 1960 and spent 58 beautiful years with Carolyn. As the patriarch of the Naiser family he left an incredible legacy for his children and grandchildren and a high standard to emulate.
Larry was the third owner of Riggs Hearing and Vision in Covington since 1976 and carried hearing aid license #8 in Kentucky. He was appointed by many Kentucky Governors to the Hearing Aid Association and the Licensing Board. He spent 59 years influencing the hearing aid industry.
He improved lives by fitting circuits that became successful and much needed among his lifelong patients. He hoped to be remembered for his ethics of trying his best, to be as friendly as possible, for treating everyone decently and kindly, helped many in need to get a new start and always hoped to make a difference. Larry was a passionate horse racing enthusiast (One of his horses led him to the winner’s circle back in 1982), loved to play cards and moreover spending time with family and friends.
His infectious laughter and wit will be missed by many. Larry said many times these last few weeks, “It’s been a good run”. Larry also served in the National Guard of KY for 14 years.
A 53 year member of Franklin #28 Masonic Lodge and member of Covington Scottish Rite. Visitation will be Saturday January 12, 2019 from 12:00pm until 1:30 pm at Middendorf Funeral Home 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, KY 41017.
