Larry L. Grady, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2019. Larry was born April 4, 1947 to Carl and Edna Grady in Oconto, WI where they instilled his strong work ethic on the farm in Little River, WI. He graduated from Oconto High School in 1965 and went on to the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

In 1968, Larry married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Babette LeTendre, and began their family journey. In 1971, they moved to Little Chute, WI when Larry began his career with Shopko Stores Inc that lasted until his retirement in 2008. By 2002 he had become the Director of Distribution Systems, Administration and Control after working at the retail chain’s first automated distribution center in DePere.

Over the years he made many friendships that he cherished as his “Shopko family”. Larry was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was our family rock; kind, gentle, and strong.

He provided countless opportunities for his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, always offering sweets, including his renowned “grandpa cookies”. Larry was a history buff, enjoyed golfing, and was an avid woodworker.

He was a humble man with a great sense of humor. We know you’re in a better place now; where the wood grain always runs smooth and every shot is a hole-in-one. We love you so much, and you will be missed until we meet again.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Babette (LeTendre) Grady, son Brandon (Evelyn) Grady, son Jordan (Richelle) Grady, daughter Karrie Grady, sister Sylvia Dario, his 5 grandchildren Jada, Phoenix, Ayla, Brock, and Emma; niece Tasha (Dave) Grumbling, Anissa (Mike) Zientara, and nephew Scott (Joy) Dario. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rodney, and brother-in-law Jack Dario. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr.

Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.
