Obituary for Larry Meredith Niemann Larry M. Niemann, 79, a native ofSumner, Iowa and resident of Houma, passed away on June 23, 2018. A memorial service is pending till a later date. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and was stationed at the Donaldson Air Force Base upon discharge.

Larry’s hobbies including breeding fish, spending time on the poker machines, collecting movies, and his passion was to cook. He had over 30 years experience of cooking, which started in the military and continued into his career as a cook offshore. He was also a resident at Bayou Towers and was featured in an article in the Houma Courier as an advocate for the Bayou Towers residents.

He was able to stop the ban of pets so the residents were able to keep their fish, birds, and other small pets. He is survived by many friends. Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
