Larry R. Brown, 70, of Delphos passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019, St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. He was born May 25, 1948, in Delphos to Roy and Margaret (Pratt) Brown, both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Sharon L. Heffner; she preceded him in death on June 30, 1996.

He is survived by two sons, Larry W. Brown of Cloverdale and Donald A. Brown of Loraine; two daughters, Laura M. Johnson of Texas and Dianna Doyle of Grover Hill; a brother, Jeff Brown of Delphos; two sisters, Marilyn Goodenough of Elida and Jean Maas of Delphos; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; his companion of seventeen years, Brenda Thitoff; and Kathy Anspauch. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Brown and a sister, Janet Illig. He was a member of the Eagles #471, VFW #3035, and had served in the Marines, during Vietnam where he received a Bronze Star and Congressional Medal of Honor.

He worked for R & T Trucking of Gomer, hauling livestock for 36 years. Larry enjoyed fishing and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved fellowship with people, especially his church family at First Assembly of God Church here in Delphos.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11:00 am at First Assembly of God Church with visitation one hour prior at the church. Pastor Fred Rowe will officiate. Military Grave Rites to follow.

Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
