Larry Johnson, age 69, of Glenwood, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019. He was born on September 11, 1949 in Hot Springs, the son of Roy Johnson and Myrtle Maxine Foshee Johnson. On December 10, 1971, he was married to Cheri Swindle Johnson who preceded him in death on February 14, 2019.

He was also preceded in death by his parents. A retired truck driver, Larry worked for Midway Motor Freight for fifteen years and later for Meyers Bakery for 30 years. Always a hard worker, he operated his lawn care business on his days off and after his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by four children and their spouses, Becky and Chad Smith of Amity, Brandon and April Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana, T. J. Johnson of Pearcy and Sarah and Brenton Holt of Bristol, Florida; seven grandchildren, Tanner Johnson, Abagail Smith, Nathaniel Smith, Grant Johnson, Emma Grace Johnson, Harper Holt and Piper Holt; his great-granddaughter, Rhiannon Boyd; and his sister, Peggy Hoover of Kirby. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood.

Visitation with the family will begin Saturday, 1:30 PM until service time. Guest registry is at www. davis-smith.com.
