Obituary of Laurie Jean West Laurie Jean West passed away at her home in Trout Lake on March 16, 2019 at the age of 72. She was born in Seattle, Washington on December 22, 1946 to Mona (Gilman) and Harold Frost. On October 22, 1996 Laurie married her husband of 22 years Garrick “Gary” West.

Mrs. West owned and operated a travel agency. Her passions in life included writing, she wrote about her grandmother, and singing with Gary. Laurie is survived by her husband, Gary West; sons Steven, Bruce and Peter Gevers, all of Portland; daughter Leolani Gevers of Florida; and 4 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Frost. Gardner Funeral Home handled cremation arrangements.
