LaVergne V. Stone, of West Harrison, passed away March 12, 2019, at the age of 86. She was born on June 23, 1932 to Frank and Frances (nee Loos) Stone in Dearborn County, Indiana. She enjoyed shopping and the holidays.

LaVergne worked for US Shoe Company for 35 years and JTM Foods for 30 years until retiring in 2017. LaVergne loved her Bright community and the friendships she had here. LaVergne was always helping others and will be missed by many.

Those left to carry on her legacy are her nieces: Debbie (Todd) Wolfe, Dawn (Don) Maucher, and Connie Drew; her nephew: Doug Kimmons; her great-nieces and great-nephews: Kalen & Kristi Wolfe, Kimber & Richie Nare, Zach & Jordan Maucher, Jenni Jones, and Amber James; and her close friend: Abby Morgan. As well as many great-great nieces and nephews. LaVernge is preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Frances Stone; and her siblings: Henrietta Frances Kimmons, Alden Stone, Dale Stone, and Roy (Doris) Stone.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio, from 4:00PM until the time of the service at 7:00PM. Memorials may be made to New Trenton Fire Department or Broken Road Biker Church. You may bring your donation to the visitation and a funeral home representative will help you.
