Laverne’s Obituary Laverne E. Darton-Sandblom, 92 of Eagle River, passed away on Friday morning, May 17, 2019 at Rennes Health & Rehab Center. Laverne was born on Monday, January 24, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Gilbert and Gladys (Gross) Fiedler. Survivors include her two sons; Gregg (Christine) Darton of Phelps, Wisconsin, Garth (Lisa) Darton of Eagle River, Wisconsin, four granddaughters; Jennifer (Paul) Secor of Titusville, Florida, Carrie Darton (Tyler Johnson) of Portage, Wisconsin, Bridgette Darton of Tucson, Arizona and Holly Darton of Menomonie, Wisconsin, one great-granddaughter; Kyra Secor.

Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Gordon Darton in 1990 and second husband; Sven Sandblom. A complete obituary will appear in a future edition of the Vilas County News-Review.
