LaVerne F. (Tobias) Styk, 85, of Reading, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Mennonite Home in Lancaster. She was the widow of Joseph Styk who died on July 12, 2013. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Florence (Kohl) Tobias.

LaVerne enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family and cooking. She is survived by her children, Anne L., wife of Michael Casbon of Hebron, Indiana; Jeri L. Styk of Reading; Michael A. Styk of Silt, Colorado; JoEllen, wife of J. Richard Barr of Lancaster; Donna M. Snyder of Leesport; and Christine T. Evans of Reading. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three sisters and a brother. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, PA. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Private burial will be held at Indiantown Gap National Veterans Cemetery.
