LaVerne’s Obituary LaVerne P. Kunz age 90 of Lansing, Illinois passed away March 5, 2019. She is survived by her loving daughter Patricia Kelly (Gary Carr) Brinkman. Cherished grandmother of; Tim Brinkman, Kristy (Peter) Chicvara, Laura (Mike Conner) Kunz, Gary Carr, Robert (Heather) Kunz, Karl Kunz, Kurt Kunz and late Karen Schrieber, and great grandmother of; Tori, Tabatha, Nikki, Mitchell, Payton, Hazel, Abby, and Alexis, loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert John Kunz, sons; Kurt Kenneth Kunz, Karl Robert Kunz, parents George and Elizabeth Kragie, and brother Robert (late Peg) Kragie. Funeral services for LaVerne will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. LaVerne will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. LaVerne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and daughter. She cherished her time with her family and grandchildren.
LaVerne enjoyed spending time doing word search puzzles, watching her favorite TV shows and enjoyed cheering on her Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears. She enjoyed bowling in her early years and loved going out and spending time with her friends. LaVerne also enjoyed the times spent with her friends at Buford Walker Senior Housing.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 9801. LaVerne will be most remembered for her loving and giving heart. She was loved by many and she will be truly missed.
