Lawrence B. Bailey, 75, of Springfield, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at the Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Springfield on July 4, 1943, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Cavanaugh) Bailey.

He was a 1962 graduate of the High School of Commerce and also helped organize multiple class reunions. He served in the U. S. Air Force. Lawrence worked for 30 years for Hasbro-Milton Bradley, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

He was predeceased by a brother, John “Jack” Bailey. He is survived by his brother, Robert Bailey of Springfield, a niece, Lynn Gifford of Lumberton, NJ, two nephews, John Bailey of Sacramento, CA and Mark Bailey of Santa Cruz, CA as well as many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A Calling Hour will be held on Thursday, Oct.

18, from 11am-12noon at Nowak Funeral and Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave. , Springfield with a Prayer Service to follow in the funeral home at 12noon. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield.
