OBITUARY Lawrence “Larry” Lindgren November 28, 1929 – December 25, 2018 Lawrence “Larry” Lindgren, long-time resident of Chicago, IL and Marco Island, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec 25, 2018 in his sleep. Larry was a man of strong Christian faith who dedicated his life to Christ. Larry was born on Thanksgiving Day, Nov.

28, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Axel and Laura Lindgren. Larry attended Marquette Grammar School, and Lindbloom High School. He was a long-time member of Hope Lutheran Church in Chicago, IL where he met his wife Eva Schmidt, and then Marco Lutheran Church in Marco Island, FL in his retirement.

Larry & Eve were married in 1953 and were inseparable for 65 years. They raised their two children in Chicago. Larry’s devotion to God was matched only by his commitment to his wife and children.

Larry lived his life leading by example displaying the importance of personal responsibility, honor, and faith. Larry dearly loved his family, all his friends throughout the years, his churches, his choirs, boating, and all things Marco Island. He was a Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, and a Lay Minister.

He loved playing softball and was a 300 game winner as a pitcher. He loved playing horse shoes and competing with his brothers and friends for the title of Camp Champ, and he loved making his famous Turkey Soup. After serving in the US Army during the Korean War, Larry began his successful career in both the steel and insurance industries helping his many friends and customers.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife Eve (nee Schmidt), his sons Mark (Vivian), Paul (Eileen), his grandchildren Jen Schnake (Mark), Laura Maiers (Matt), Brad, Michael, Chris, his Great grandson Nolan, his brothers Bob (late Jean), Harold (Myrna), and his nieces and nephews.
