Obituary for LAWRENCE “RAY” JOHNSON Johnson, Lawrence “Ray”, 59, of Midfield, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2018 with his family at his side. He was born on May 12, 1959 in Bessemer, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Wanda Johnson.

He is survived by his sister Jane Johnson Cottingham (David). Two nephews Sam Cottingham (Amanda) and Matt Cottingham (Stephanie). One niece Lori Polk (Brad) and ten great nieces and nephews.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1981 to 1987. The visitation will be Thursday, December 27, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Peoples Chapel Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will be at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo at 12:30 PM.
