Obituary for Lawrence Kazmier Lawrence “Larry” Stanley Kazmier, 86, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2018, in Peoria, AZ. He was born January 10, 1932, to the late Stanley and Theresa Kazmierczak in Chicago, IL. Larry was the youngest of 4 children.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Norbert Kazmier, and sister, Sister Dolores Kazmierczak, and is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Loretta Kazmier, and sister–in–law Val Kazmier. Larry is survived by his wife, E. Jane Sims, his son Donald Kazmier, daughters, Laura Kazmier Kaptain and Kristie Kazmier Willis, and the mother of his three children, Diane Fuselier Kazmier. Larry had four grandchildren, Kyle and Katie Kaptain, Michael and Stewart Willis.

He is also survived by his stepsons Gregory and Stephen Sims and grandchildren Connor, Katherine, Jack, and Brenna Sims. Larry was born and raised in Chicago, IL and raised his three children there after meeting their mother in Port Arthur, Texas when in the service. Later, he moved on to Arizona to live out the rest of his joyous life and married E. Jane Sims.

Larry served in the Air Force during the Korean War. His passion was flying. He owned and flew his own personal single engine plane for many years.

Larry also had a passion for cars and maintained his career in the car business through retirement. In earlier years, while living in Chicago Heights, Larry shared a passion for Brittany Spaniels and was a dog handler while participating in field trials, hunting pheasant with his Brittany’s. He had a horse named Chico he adored.

He taught his children skeet shooting for fun as well. Larry was a sweet fun-loving man you could always count on making you laugh at his many jokes. He enjoyed traveling and among some of his favorites were the Bahamas, Poland, China, Morocco, Venice and the Grecian Islands.
