Lee C. Holzer, 99, of Rochester, New York, formerly of Boca Raton, Florida, Poughkeepsie and Binghamton, New York, passed away peacefully on January 24th, 2019, 13 days shy of 100 years old. She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence, and survived by beloved children Shari, Michael, and Alan, daughters-in-law Ximena and Lisa, devoted grandchildren David and his wife Reshma, Paul and his wife Allison, Stephen, Sarah and her husband Noah, Diane and her husband Geoff, as well as great grandchildren Leah, Adrian, Isaac, Annabelle, Samantha, Henry, and Gavin. Lee grew up in Binghamton where she met her future husband Larry in kindergarten.

They were together for 84 years and married for 67! She grew up as the daughter of immigrants during the Great Depression. With her Dad and sisters Nellie and Ida, she helped in the family produce business, there learning the value of hard work.

As a girl, she was an exceptional student and athlete. Married at age 21, she was a loving wife and mother to her 3 children. At age 45 she embarked on a successful career as a real estate broker and retired at age 90.

Lee was totally devoted to her husband Larry, caring for him especially during his final years. She was a woman of integrity and an effective businesswoman, well known in her Florida community as the “go-to” person for buying and selling real estate. She had incredible energy, a ready smile and was always kind and helpful to family and friends.

She was loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and she will be greatly missed. Services will be held at the Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, Florida on Sunday, February 3rd at 10am. For those wishing to honor her memory, donations may be made in her name to the Jewish Senior Life Foundation, 2021 Winton Road South, Rochester, New York 14618.
