OBITUARY Leighon Stone Jr. August 19, 1947 – September 22, 2018 Leighon Stone, Jr., a resident of Mobile, died on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Mr. Stone served in the U.S. Navy and met his wife of 46 years while stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was a retiree from ATOFINA Chemicals, Inc

He enjoyed life to the fullest and was particularly fond of surfing in his youth. Later in life he developed a love for sailing, snow skiing, and taking road trips to beautiful sites throughout the United States. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.

Mr. Stone is preceded in death by his parents, Lucile Weldy Stone and Leighon Stone, Sr He is survived by his wife, Sonia Ramos Stone, his son Byron L. Stone, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation). Condolences may be offered at www.
