Lena M. Pepe, 106, of Kensington, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Born in Stafford Springs, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Sophia (Mezzio) Veneziano and the wife of the late Edward J. Pepe. Lena worked at Prentice Mfg.

Co. in her younger years. After her marriage, she was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her family. Lena loved social gatherings with her family and friends.

Music was her passion and she loved singing and dancing. Lena enjoyed writing poetry and liked to compose lyrics, writing music to songs for her own enjoyment. She also loved beautiful flowers and traveling with her wonderful husband, Eddie and was a member of St. Paul Church.

She is survived by her daughter: Jacqueline Pepe Czerwinski of Kensington and her daughter-in-law: Lynn Pepe of Kensington, one sister: Ann Webster of California, 3 Grandchildren: Chad Czerwinski of Unionville, Cari Czerwinski of West Hartford and Robert Pepe of Plainville, 4 Great-Grandchildren: Cameron Perez, Cole, Cayden and Conner Czerwinski. Lena was predeceased by a Son: Edward R. Pepe, 3 sisters: Celia Buchiere, Connie Veneziano and Eva Veneziano Collard. Funeral private with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Jerome Home for their wonderful care.
