Leo’s Obituary Leo Gilbert Teske went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Leo was surrounded by loved ones as he moved from the world to heaven. A celebration of life will be planned for the fall.

Leo was born September 27th, 1942 to Jack and Lillian Teske of Havre, Montana. Leo had a zest for life and really only loved art class in school. He completed middle school and moved on to his working career.

He enlisted into the United States National Guard at a VERY early age where he served four years active duty and 4 years inactive duty. At the end of his commitment to the service he felt called to come home to Havre. Leo then married his first wife and had a son Maurice Austin.

Then married for a second time and had 3 more children, Cheri, Leo Allen and Chellie. Then third time’s a charm and he married the love of his life Marlene Bahr. They enjoyed 44 years of marriage and had two more children, Nickole and Torie.

Leo was an amazing husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He never was afraid to tell you where the bear poops in the woods and was a man of much wit. I like to call them “Leoisms”.

Leo’s life was not perfect, but he woke every day with a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. He loved the outdoors, fishing with his girls and hunting with his brothers and many friends. Later in life much to everyone’s surprise he began to enjoy playing golf and watching golf with his “lady”.

He enjoyed working out in his yard and had a lot of pride in the home he and Marlene created. For the past year, Leo resided in the care center, and Marlene joined him there a couple of months ago. Leo is survived by his wife Marlene, and children Maurice (Peggy) Austin of Missoula, Leo Allen Teske of Columbus, Chellie (Shawn) Teske-Kissell of Butte, Nickole (Randy) Blake of Kalispell, Torie Teske of Havre.

Leo and Marlene also adopted their two granddaughters Kelly Teske and Katie (Christopher) Vukasin, both of Havre. Leo’s children gave him multiple grandchildren, Suzette, Chris, Angela and Jessica Austin, George II and Satchel Gordon, Jesse and Justin Genetzky, Haley Kincaid, Kenneth and Rylyne Teske, CheraLee Cunningham, Josh Wenger, and Caleb Blake, and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Jackie (Jim) Winchell of Laurel, Ruth Ann Wood of Pensacola FL, Becky (Dave) Krezlack of Havre; brothers Terri (Betty) Teske of Springfield MO and Tim (Joanna) Teske of Havre, MT; and many nieces and nephews who he thought of as his own kiddos.

Leo is preceded in death by his daughter Cheri, mother and father Jack and Lillian Teske, and brother Gary. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Please visit Leo’s online memorial page and leave a message of condolence for his family at www.
