Ms. Leola H. King was born to Mr. William Hawkins, Sr. and Mrs. Estelle Hawkins in Birmingham, Alabama. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in her final year and a half of life, (from Jan 2018 -May 2019), while living with her niece Ms.Sheila M. Brooks and great nephew Marcus Williams. She loved listening to her gospel music all day everyday.

She learned how to pray, praise and worship the Lord daily. Her life’s journey ended on May 8, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. William Hawkins Sr. and Estelle Hawkins, a sister Earline Reasor and two brothers Willie James Hawkins and Earnest Hawkins.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters: Dorothy Brooks, Estelle Figgeurs and Velma Mitchell, both of Birmingham, Alabama; A brother: William Hawkins, Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio; A special, loving niece and great nephew who were her caregivers: Ms. Sheila M. Brooks and Marcus T. Williams; A host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
