Leon Carroll Howard, 72, of Danville Va. , passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Sovah Health Danville. Born October 18, 1946, in Danville, Va.

, he was the son of the late Thelma Hughes Howard and the late James Odie Howard. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Howard worked for Fast Mart Convenient Stores for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Howard is survived by his wife, Donice Handy Howard; one son, Joel Howard; one daughter,… Janice Howard. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Trinity Fortune and Macey Keatts. The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.
