Leon May Thomson, GA – Mr. Bobby Leon May, 84, of May Road, entered into rest December 13, 2018 at his residence. Mr. May was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, Georgia and the son of the late Robert Truman May and the late Julia Emma Heath May. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and he was retired from W. S. Badcock Corporation as a Security Guard.

Mr. May enjoyed farming and loved his cabin on the pond. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. May was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley G. May; sons, Larry May and Daryl May; and great-granddaughter, Alexis Rae Story.

Survivors include his daughters, Julianne May Martin (Jim) and Susan May; son, Johnny May; nine granddaughters, two grandsons and thirteen great grandchildren; and sisters, Inez Rabun and Miriam Usry (J.H.). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Monday, December 17, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Ferrell and Rev.

Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the May Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

The family would like to thank Mr. May’s caregivers, Mamie Thomas and Don Evans, as well as Kindred Hospice and his favorite nurse, Leah Anderson. It is an honor for Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia to serve the family of Leon May.
