St. Albans/Richford – Leona Frances Donaldson a lifelong area resident passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018, at the McClure-Miller VNA Respite House with her loving family at her side. Born in Richford on September 25, 1947, the daughter of the late Frank and Ethel (Goodhue) Carr. Leona was 71 years old.

On June 6, 2000, she married Charles E. Donaldson, who pre-deceased her on June 7, 2000. Leona is survived by her 3 daughters, Amy Lynn Boomhower and her significant other, Alan Clogston, Tammy Wells and Terry Hatterick and her husband, Danny; her step-sons, Lloyd Thompson and Philip Thompson; her special friend, Julia Guilfoil and her grandchildren, Amy Barratt, Alan Boomhower, David Boomhower, six other grandchildren, as well as 4 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother, Roger Carr, Sr. and sister, Hilda Rushlow and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited calling hours on Friday, October 26, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. to 12 Noon at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A funeral service will follow 12 Noon in the Heald Chapel.
