Obituary of Leona Evans Leona Evans, known to family and friends as “Lee Lee”, of McKeesport, passed away on September 10th, 2018, at the age of 69 years. She was born in McKeesport on February 20, 1949 and is the daughter of the late John and Mildred Smith Slater. She was a faithful member of Temple of Faith Church in North Versailles and a cook for many years.

Leona enjoyed her cats, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, William Evans, son, John (Kathy) George of Braddock Hills, daughter, Melissa Bachman of Duquesne, son, Joseph (Crystal) George of West Mifflin, granddaughter, Britney (Stephen) Bowen of New Cumberland, W.V., numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many family and friends. A celebration of Leona’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 with visitation at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (412-678 6177) from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A memorial service officiated by Rev.

Beatrice Lamonte, Pastor Samuel Lamonte and Pastor Leah Lamonte will follow from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. A meal will be provided at Temple of Faith Church, 1108 Jamison Ave. , North Versailles, PA 15137 immediately following the memorial service. Please send any flowers to the funeral home.
