Leonard B. “L.B.” Adkins age 84 of Upper Sandusky died on Monday May 20, 2019 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on December 30, 1934 in Renick, West Virginia to Leonard & Louella (Clemons) Adkins. L.B. married Ileene Van Horn on November 29, 1957 in Angola, IN and she preceded him in death on August 11, 2011.

Surviving is a step daughter Wilma (Linus) Billock of Carey, step son Ray (Mary) Barney of Carey, five grandchildren Paula Billock, Pam Smith, Theresa Barney, Kristy Barney, Tim Barney, four great grandchildren Jayden Barney, Scott Smith, David Smith, Patel Smith, brother Tivis “T.B.” Adkins, sisters Wanda (Roy) Monroe, Freda Adkins, half brother Everett Kidwell. He was preceded in death by two brothers Cecil Adkins and Robert Adkins. L.B. graduated in 1953 from Rainelle High School in West Virginia.

He was a retired truck driver. For hobbies he enjoyed fishing, playing cards and gardening. One of L.B.’s joys during Christmas was to make holiday fruit cakes and gift them to family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday May 23, 2019 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at Bringman Clark Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday May 24, 2019 at 10:30am in the funeral home with Pastor Ed Hunker officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
