Monson- Leonard E Grimes, 84, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 surrounded by the love of family. Leonard was born in Ludlow, June 3, 1934 to the late Arthur and Agnes (Brown) Grimes. He was a high school graduate and served in the Army from 1957-1959.

Leonard was a truck driver for many years and prior to his retirement he was a driver for NAPA in Palmer. He enjoyed model train building, race cars and making bird houses. His greatest joy came from being with family.

Leonard leaves his wife; Theresa F. (Parent) Grimes; sons, Leonard E. Grimes Jr and his wife Allyson of Holland, Kenneth C. Grimes of Monson, Stephen C. Grimes of Derry, NH; daughters, Susan Cadieux and her husband Bruce of Wales, Lisa Batchelor and her husband Alan of Enfield; four grandchildren, Michael, Christina, Amelia, and Gemma; four great grandchildren, Haley, Nevaeh, Jordan, Sophie; a brother Arthur Grimes of Ludlow. Leonard was predeceased by a daughter, Megan E. Grimes and a sister, Eunice Ladue. Visiting hours will be held in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St Monson, Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5-7pm with Military Honors at 7pm followed by a Celebration of Life at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society PO Box 12268, Newport News VA 23612.
