OBITUARY Leonard Lee Hare October 20, 1936 – September 6, 2018 Leonard Lee Hare, age 81, of Wilson, previously of Royalton Center, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at his home. Born in Buffalo, October 20, 1936, Leonard is the son of the late LeRoy and Clara (Note) Hare. Leonard lived by the Golden Rule.

He treated everyone like he wanted to be treated. Leonard served his country in the US Marines from 1959 until 1960 when he was honorably discharged so that he could go home and take care of his family after his father passed away. He worked as a dairy farmer until 1975, and then he went to Reinhardt’s Feed in Middleport until 1979.

He then worked at CECOS/NEWCO (BFI) in Niagara Falls in maintenance, retiring in 1995 as the maintenance supervisor. Leonard married Diana February 24, 1995 in Buffalo, NY and then relocated to Wilson, NY. A consummate mechanic, Leonard loved to restore tractors and then resell them.

Surviving Leonard is his wife: Diana (Kuhn) Hare; stepdaughter: Kristin Burke and brother of: Rita Ann Garrison and the late John David Hare. A Celebration of Life will be held at date to be announced. Memorials appreciated to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or Boys Town, 100 Flanagan Blvd.
