Leonard Leon Wilson Born October 7, 1930 in Bowling Green, Kentucky Leonard went home to be with his Lord Jesus on November 9, 2018 in Sacramento, California. Beloved husband of 61 years, 10 months and 2 days to the late Patsy Wilson, he was greatly loved and will be missed by his children: Michael (Leeann) Wilson of Sacramento, Kathy Neely of Sacramento, and Teresa (Jeffrey) Hood of Fairfield, California. Leonard also had four great-grandchildren: Jacob Reyes, Brookelynn Neely, Juliette Neely, and Isaac Hood. He is survived by his sister RamaJean Updike, his brother Gary Wilson, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katie Ellis, his father, Earl Wilson, and two brothers, Earl Wilson, Jr. and Raymond Wilson.

Leonard held various jobs from the time he was a young boy living in Kentucky until moving to Sacramento and working for Campbell’s Soup for 30 years. Leonard was an avid golfer and bowler—playing in bowling leagues for Campbell’s Soup. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting, but most of all he enjoyed “puttering” around his garden and making the best BBQ ribs this side of heaven.

He loved spending time with his family and sharing stories of his childhood. Leonard will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
