Obituary for Leone (Osborne) Preston Leone Preston, 96, of Fairborn went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2018. She was born on March 4, 1922 in Pike County, KY to the late Jesse Bowling and Bessie (Tackett) Osborne. Leone married the love of her life, Luther Preston, on Sept 19, 1945 in Johnson County, KY, where they had five children.

She served the Lord faithfully for 76 years after being saved when she was 20 years old. She was the last remaining charter member of the Miami Valley United Baptist Church. Leone was a homemaker, dedicating her life to her family.

She and Luther also owned and operated Preston’s IGA in Hustead, OH from 1964 to 1972. Leone is proceeded in death by her parents, Jess and Bess Osborne; her loving husband, Luther Preston; two sons: Larry David Preston and Billy Richard Preston; two sisters: June Osborne and Virginia Duffy; five brothers: Jessie Bowling Osborne, Jr., Charles Osborne, Roger Osborne, Louis R Osborne and Jimmy Osborne; a grandson: Gary Lee Preston, Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Preston; She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Carolyn and Steve Allen of Fairborn, OH; two sons and three daughters-in-law: Gary and Doris Preston of Casstown, OH, Jay and Cindy Preston of Fairborn and Patricia Preston of Enon, OH, OH; one sister: Ruth Sharon Patterson of Auburndale, FL; ten grandchildren: Lori Boyer, Shane Preston, Sheri Adkins, Larry Brian Preston, Jennifer Preston, Lynn Hay, Melissa Malone, Mike Deal, Natalie Beiring and Nick Preston; 20 great-grandchildren: Cassie Apple, Jeremy Malone, Zachary Preston, Dawn Boyer, Courtney Malone, Emily Adkins, Wyatt Preston, Maggie Preston, Samuel Adkins, Connor Hay, Troy Preston, Kaitlyn Hay, Sydney Preston, Shelby Preston, Zaine Deal, Kendra Deal, William Preston, Ava Beiring, Allie Beiring, and Andi Beiring; two great-great grandchildren: Netherly Malone and Logan Malone; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors who will miss her dearly and mourn her loss forever. Leone lived the last five years of her precious life at Dayspring Nursing Home and her family would like to thank the wonderful staff for all they did for her in those years, especially nurses Christine and Shelly, as well as two special friends she made there: Roberta and Anna.

Funeral Services for Leone will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Miami Valley United Baptist Church, 660 W. Hyde Road, Yellow Springs, OH 45387, with Elder Freddie Preston officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, OH. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon, OH.
