Lanners February 11, 1925 – May 12, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Leonette M. “Lee” Lanners February 11, 1925 – May 12, 2019 Age 94, St. Paul, MN Lee Lanners passed away peacefully early in the morning on Mother’s Day at Our Lady of Peace Hospice, after living for over 2 years at Sholom Home East. One of 13 children, Lee was born in Jordan, Minnesota on February 11, 1925. She moved to the Twin Cities and worked at 3M during the war.

Lee married her husband Fred in 1946 and together they had 11 children. Lee raised her children in St. Paul, Minnesota and the New York City area. In addition to being an avid bowler, golfer, and bridge player, Lee volunteered at her church and with the Disabled American Veterans.

Never one to let her huge family slow her down, Lee enjoyed traveling the world with Fred as he conducted business and later as they enjoyed retirement. Lee was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Fred T. Lanners, Jr., her son Jack and daughter Janice. Lee is survived by sons: Mike (Mary Kay), Tom (Carol Sue), Alan (Deb), and Bob; daughters: Aurelia Peschken (Peter), Shirley, Cynthia (Gene Ball), Carol Hockert, Kathy Carruth (Paul); daughter-in-law Norma, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Friday, May 17 at LUMEN CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2055 Bohland Ave. , St. Paul, with visitation beginning at 9 am. Burial St. John’s Cemetery, Little Canada.

In lieu of flowers: Our Lady of Peace Hospice, Sholom Home East.
