McAllen – Leonor Martinez, 94, entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Paxvilla Hospice of McAllen. Born on Friday, September 5, 1924 in Mission, Texas daughter of Wilfredo and Guadalupe (Cantu) Garcia. Leonor was a lifelong resident of McAllen.

She enjoyed dancing, cooking and having the family get together. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband: Rodrigo Martinez; her four children: Aubin (Gracie) Martinez; Rodrigo (Sylvia) Martinez, Jr., Ana M. Ibarra and Maribel (Roberto) Sanchez; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, May 3, 2019 with a prayer of the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass will be said at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Entombment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
