Obituary for Lera L. Crady (Lehde) The family of Lera L. (nee Lehde) Crady announces with great sadness that she passed away on December 16, 2018 at the age of 93 years. Lera was born on February 22, 1925 to the late Albert and Anita (nee Graubner) Lehde. Lera was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Curtis P. Crady Sr., son Curtis (Perry) Crady Jr., and daughter Lynn (nee Crady) Mathis and Lynn’s partner Charles Darden.

She is survived by three grandchildren: Patricia (Jim) Aumann, Laura (Josh) Gossett), and Jonathon (Victoria) Crady; and by her brother William “Bill” (Sherry) Lehde. She was a very loving and proud great-grandmother to Sean, William, Ashley, Alyssa, Jacob, Jon, Alivia, Olivia and Nadia. Lera was also a beloved cousin, aunt, godmother, and friend to many.

Lera was retired from the Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce where she enjoyed her work in membership and getting to know the many business owners in Kirkwood and Des Peres. Long-time resident of Kirkwood, she lived most recently at Bethesda Gardens for eight wonderful years. She was an avid reader, Yahtzee player, Cardinals and golf fan.

She enjoyed winter visits to Florida with her cousin Karen, her family and many friends she made there. Lera will be remembered by everyone she met for her bright smile and positive outlook on life. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec.

29, 2:00 p.m. at Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please honor Lera with a donation to the Kirkwood Public Library or the American Cancer Society.
