He was born September 12, 1934 in Pleasant Hill. He was the son of Aileen Daniels.

Leroy attended school in Pleasant Hill. He married the former Phyllis Guthrie on July 29, 1953. She survives.

In that union, they had five children, four daughters, Rhonda Daniels of Hamburg, Cathy & Jim Emery of South Roxana, Belinda Daniels of Grafton, Lori & Mike Soto of Hartford; one son, Dana & Carolyn Daniels of Hartford; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Leroy worked for Laclede Steel for 31 years, retiring in 1986. He was a volunteer fireman for 23 years on the Hartford Fire Department and was a Mason & Shriner for 38 years.

Proceeding Leroy in death was his mother and twin grandsons, Ryan & Bryan Woolverton. A memorial celebration will be held for Leroy from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Hartford Assembly of God Church, 105 East Watkins, Hartford. Memorials have been designated to the Shriners Children Hospital in St. Louis.
